Description
We wonder when we look up. This work is relates to a memory from childhood in my home village of Shotts on a cold winters night, during the Apollo missions. I like to include the landscape and memory of Lanarkshire, a landscape that does not fit into the Scotland the brand idea of Scotland, so I have included coal bings ( Slagheeps ). It relates to our dreams, hopes, aspirations, when from a working class from such an area. The figure is a traveller on the most ridiculous form of transport, a space hopper. He is an outsider searching.
