This painting of an elephant from South Africa was painted in watercolour and gouache on paper. Animal conservation and protection is a huge influence in my work, driven by years of research and three trips to South Africa to visit good friends. In a world driven by human influence and impact, many animal species continue to become more vulnerable than ever due to loss of habitat, hunting, and lack of awareness. This is what I seek to promote through my art.
